Taylor Frith is a family run coal merchant that dates back to the 1930s. The company – now in its third generation – is currently run and owned by Julie & Ian Hardley, with Ian’s Mum Jill still proudly helping out when needed.
We specialise in all aspects of solid fuel; from supplying grates, parts, fireplace and stoves, to delivering coal and smokeless fuels, logs and sticks all-round Cheshire.
Within the local area we offer a free delivery service (for 10+ bags) using our own vehicles and stacking the fuel where ever you would like.
Due to the large increase in multi-fuel stoves and open fires in recent times, we have now taken our deliveries to a nationwide service. This is done by established and trustworthy palette vehicles which make the job of ordering your fuel easier and cleaner as the fuel arrives in clean sealed pre-packed bags.
Our “Showroom in Runcorn”
At our Unit near Picow Farm Road in Runcorn, we have a container which we have converted into a showroom – why not come along and have a browse?
We have all the parts needed for solid fuel fires and stoves. Also, fireside accessories and everything you’ll need for a coal fire.
Additionally, if it is easier for you to buy our products in smaller amounts you can pick up all online purchases, pre-packed at the unit, which we fondly call the “Coal Yard”.
Runcorn is close to all major roads and motorways and our Unit is near-by to the Runcorn-Widnes Bridge, handy for visitors from Widnes, Liverpool etc.
